Practical guide

Styling bubble letters on a nursery wall

Rounded letters already have plenty of personality, so the strongest arrangements usually keep the surrounding space simple. Use colour, spacing and a clear baseline to make the name feel connected to the rest of the nursery.

01

Pick a calm or playful colour rhythm

A single shade lets the bubble silhouette and shadows do the work. Two alternating colours create an easy rhythm, while three shades can connect different parts of the room. For a rainbow effect, distribute light and dark colours across the name rather than placing every dark shade at one end.

Our 23-colour palette includes pastels, warm neutrals, bright accents and deeper shades. Select each letter individually in the designer and look at the whole name between changes so one character does not dominate unexpectedly.

02

Give rounded shapes enough space

Bubble characters are deliberately wide and soft. Leave a visible gap between neighbouring letters so their silhouettes do not merge from across the room. The exact gap is your choice because each character is supplied separately.

For names with very different widths, such as I beside M, visual spacing often works better than using the same measured gap. Step back after placing temporary guides and adjust until the word feels balanced.

03

Keep nursery wall decor safely positioned

Letters should be used as decoration and attached securely to a suitable surface. Keep them out of a child’s reach and away from any position where they could fall into a cot, bed or changing area.

Use the supplied pads only on a clean, dry, smooth and stable surface, following their instructions. Wall texture, dust, moisture, fresh paint and delicate finishes can affect adhesion, so test before installing the complete name.

Good to know

Before you
create their name.

How deep are the bubble letters?

Each character is approximately 2 cm deep, giving the name a clearly three-dimensional look on the wall.

Are the colours exact on screen?

The palette is a helpful guide. Screen settings and handmade finishing can create small colour differences in the finished product.

How much space should I leave between letters?

There is no required gap. Start with a small, even space, then adjust visually around narrow and wide characters until the name feels balanced.

Can I see the actual letter shapes before ordering?

Yes. The live customiser uses silhouettes based on our real alphabet rather than an approximate standard font.

Where should nursery wall letters be positioned?

Choose a clean, stable surface out of a child’s reach and away from cots, beds and places where a loose item could create a hazard.
